Discover in this recipe a variation of the classic king cake, the galette des Rois au chocolat, gourmands will feast!
- 125 g of butter
- 125 g of sugar
- 125 g of almond powder
- 1 egg + 1 yellow to brown the cake
- 2 puff pastries
- 200 g of chocolate
Preheat the oven to 200 °.
Melt the chocolate.
Soften the butter and pour it into a bowl. Add the sugar, then the almond powder and an egg. Mix everything well. Add to the mixture the melted chocolate.
Unroll the dough in a mold. Spread the mixture leaving a wide edge. Introduce the bean.
Cover with the second puff pastry. Tap on the edges to hold them together.
Decorate the cake by drawing braces with a knife.
Beat the egg yolk and brush the top of your cake with a brush.
Bake for 35 minutes. The top should be well browned.
All you have to do is add a crown of kings, divide your cake into equal parts and serve hot.
